CONTRIBUTION

Where I can help an estimating team now

01

Read the set carefully

Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to identify scope, quantities, assumptions, exclusions, and open questions.

02

Support takeoffs and pricing

Prepare quantity takeoffs, organize pricing inputs, compare vendor information, and keep revisions easy to follow.

03

Keep the bid organized

Document room-by-room scope, sources, and estimate files so the estimator can review the work with confidence.

04

Learn your process

Bring a disciplined, teachable working style to the systems, trade practices, and job types your team uses every day.

THE HONEST DIRECTION

I tested an AI workflow. It clarified what good estimating actually requires.

In 2026, I explored an independent AI-assisted workflow for organizing plan review, scope notes, assumptions, and revisions. The prototypes helped with documentation, but they did not replace the trade knowledge, estimator judgment, and accountability required for reliable bid work.

That study is concluded. I am focused on joining an estimating or preconstruction team, supporting active bids, and learning directly from experienced estimators and project teams.

THE CONVERSATION I WANT TO HAVE

What is slowing your estimating team down?

  1. Where could I make myself useful immediately?
  2. What bid tasks need more reliable support?
  3. What should I learn next so I can take more off the team’s plate?

LET’S TALK

If you need a careful, teachable estimator, I would like to hear about the work.
